I recently had to change my primary domain in G Suite. So, I had to create other email addresses and remove the old ones.
I bumped into “Alternate emails” in Google Account > Personal info > Email, but I didn’t understand at first what’s up with them and how to remove and replace them, since you can’t do it there.

But, fortunately, I found the solution, and I’ll share it with you.
Remove Alternate Emails from Google G Suite Account
Here’s what you need to do:
- Log in to your G Suite Admin dashboard;
- Go to Users;
- Click on the user’s name;
- Click on the User information section;
- Go to Email aliases and click on the Edit icon.

Now, there you can add, rename, and remove email aliases. And the changes there will appear in the Alternate emails section as well.

Basically, your alternate emails are your email aliases.
That’s a Wrap
I hope you found this tutorial useful, and you managed to remove your alternate emails from your Google G Suite account!

What I found was entries under email alias were marked with “This domain alias is automatically generated.”
Yes, Google creates those automatically, as they mention here:
This was a godsend. Thank you!
I don’t suppose you know how to change the main email when you’re changing email domain addresses? We got the Gsuite account via Wix which could be the problem.
I’m glad it helped you out!
Do you mean changing the whole webmail, including the domain? Then this can help – https://support.google.com/a/answer/7009324?hl=en. You need to add the new domain and then create emails for it.
For changing a user’s email, without the domain, this can help – https://support.google.com/a/answer/182084?hl=en
